Thome Field

Thome Field is the outdoor complex home to both the Baseball and Softball programs at Illinois Central College.

The complex is named in honor of Cougar Baseball alum and Major League Baseball Hall-of-Famer, Jim Thome. The fields were dedicated as such on September 22nd, 2021, when Thome himself was in attendance for the dinner & dedication.

Both fields feature a blue inning-by-inning scoreboard as well as bleacher seating for all those in attendance. The fields are natural grass and infield dirt. Permanent stadium lighting lines the perimeter of both fields as well.

Flanking either outfield corner at the diamonds are two-lane bullpens for both ICC and their opponents.
