East Peoria, Ill. - Going down the home stretch of the regular season, it's no surprise that a critical match with postseason-level implications looms. On Wednesday night, the ICC Volleyball team (21-10) has a very important match against the eighth-ranked Heartland Hawks (21-3).
A win for the Cougars greatly increases their chances of hosting their half of the District Tournament in early November, whereas a loss greatly decreases those same chances. Not only that, add it being against a nationally-ranked and in-region opponent and you get quite the exciting matchup.
It's also a Pink Out, as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The team plans to match the fans dressed in all their pink with their own alternate pink uniforms for the match.
The match starts at 6:00pm inside Ramsey Gym on Wednesday, and again, don't forget to wear your pink.
