East Peoria, Ill.---The #14 ICC men's soccer team's three-game win streak was snapped on Saturday as they lost a 1-0 decision to Region 24 rival Lewis and Clark in overtime at CougarPlex Soccer Field. The Cougars had a chance to score on a penalty kick early in the game but could not convert, and the two teams played to a scoreless tie through regulation. Lewis and Clark scored seven minutes into the overtime on a cross to boot in the winning goal.
Saturday's loss is just the second overall for ICC (12-1-2), with both setbacks coming to the Trailblazers (8-2).
Next up: The Cougars will have some time off before their next contest. The men will host Illinois Wesleyan JV on Thursday, October 14 at 7:00 pm at CougarPlex Soccer Field.
