Dixon, Ill.---Courtney Jones's career high 16 points led the way for the #3 ICC women's basketball team in an 86-48 victory at DI Sauk Valley CC on Saturday afternoon.  Jones was 7-11 from the field as the Cougars placed a total of six players in double figures:  Kayla Gordon (15), Kristyn Mitchell (14), Saniya Tutt (13), T'yana Lovelace (12), and Petyon Dearing (10).  The team dished out 25 assists on the day to get their fifth consecutive win and move their overall record to 10-6.

The Cougar defense was on point to start the game as they limited the Skyhawks to just five points to take a 15-5 first quarter lead.  Jones, Gordon, and Mitchell were catalysts offensively in the second period to help give ICC a 46-21 halftime lead.  The Cougars worked on their zone defense in the second half and used many different combinations en route to the win.
