East Peoria, Ill. - Two highly competitive sets, and one in which the visitors took control. That's a short surmising of what happened at Ramsey Gym on Thursday night when top-10 rivals in #3 Parkland (37-1) and #10 ICC (21-10) took the floor. The Cougars would fight back on repeated occasions in the first two sets, getting within a single point when both teams were into the 20's. However, a 5-0 run by Parkland to start the set would ultimately be too much to overcome and the Cougars would drop just their second home match of the season in eight tries. A post-match chat with head coach Tracy Heffren as well as the usual statistical leaders are featured below.

On Parkland's taking control in the third set:
"Yeah, we fell flat. We couldn't pass. We started off with a bad pass, and then kind of went backwards from there. 

On the efforts of Parkland's front row, primarily Kayla Pacha and Kat Blase, two and one in season kills for the Cobras:
"We did have a game plan against them, and we were executing it very well in the first and second sets, then in the third set, we just weren't as focused in. They're (Pacha and Blase) very good players. Kat can jump out of the gym and Kayla moves the ball around awfully well." 

On the crowd/atmosphere that this matchup drew:
"Oh, it was awesome. It was a great atmosphere."

On what to take from the loss bigger picture:
"We said we have to learn from this loss. I felt we played well. We can take that momentum in sets one and two and be able to carry that into our next match."
