Davenport, Iowa - The ICC men's program (5-4) got above .500 on the season Wednesday night by defeating St. Ambrose JV for the second time this year. ICC won 89-71 on the road.
After a two week layoff, the Cougars started this game off a little rusty. St. Ambrose took a early 16-8 lead. ICC continued to struggle in the first half by turning the ball over. This allowed the Bees to take a 39-32 lead at the break. Both teams shot 50% in the first half.
The Cougars came out in the second half and started to chip away at the Bee's lead. Eventually ICC tied the game at 50 all with 14 minutes remaining. The rest of the game consisted of runs by both sides. ICC held an 8 point lead that ended up getting cut down to just 1 with 7 minutes to go. The Cougars then iced the game by going on a 28-11 run to seal the road win. ICC shot 71% in the second half (25-35).
