East Peoria, IL - The ICC men's soccer team battled Heartland to a close contest but came up just short, as the Hawks edged the Cougars 2-1.  

Zac Le Stavri scored the lone goal for the Cougars on an assist by Carlos Lobo.

The Cougars now have a 2-3 record as their game against Carl Sandburg on August 25 was declared a forfeit.

Next up:  ICC will play on Saturday, September 3 at St. Louis CC at 1pm.
