East Peoria, IL (article updated from original post on August 25)---Illinois Central College recently increased the hourly rate for qualified drivers to $23 per hour to transport ICC Athletic teams.  The Cougar teams travel to a variety of locations during the week and on weekends, with most of the travel going to a competition and coming home the same day.  The position is part-time and allows for drivers to choose the dates they want to drive.  Applications are being accepted through September 30.  

This position reports to the Campus Police Department, but works closely with the ICC Athletic Department. The schedule for this position is irregular (drivers can accept or decline scheduling trips), is on an on-call basis, and may occasionally include overnight trips (if desired).

Minimum qualifications include:  

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 
2. Must possess or obtain a valid CDL Class C License with Passenger Endorsement within 90 days of hire. 
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
4. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
