Belleville, Ill. - The 18th-ranked ICC men's soccer team (2-2-0) hit the road for a matchup with the Blue Storm of Southwestern Illinois on Thursday afternoon. After a scoreless draw in the first half, the hosts scored twice to set the 2-0 final score. 

While no goals were scored in the first half, there were a combined three yellow cards assessed between the two teams. 

There was not a lack of bookings in the second half either, with six total cards, two of which were red cards within the game's final 10 minutes. 

The Cougars now turn their focus to what is their longest stretch of home games this season, hosting St. Louis, Carl Sandburg, Heartland, and Lewis & Clark over the span of roughly two weeks.
