Belleville, Ill. - A mid-week trip down to the metro St. Louis area was on tap for coach Tracy Heffren and the 17th-ranked ICC Volleyball team (12-8). The Cougars went down south for their first game on the Region 24 Schedule, taking on the Blue Storm of Southwestern Illinois. After the hosts took the opening set, ICC would win the next three, including mere two-point and four-point margins in the third and fourth sets respectively, giving the Cougars a 3-1 win to start region play.
