Champaign, Ill. - The Dodds Athletic Complex has traditionally provided one of the more challenging road atmospheres within Region 24. For coach Tracy Heffren and the 17th-ranked ICC Volleyball team (18-8, 4-0), that's what was on the table. Actually, two matches were on the table. The Cougars were just a small part of a very talented field at the Parkland Tournament. Matches conclude tomorrow, but ICC just had two on Friday, taking on a familiar foe in #6 Kirkwood, as well as D1 (RV) Vincennes. The Cougars got going with a thrilling five-set avenging of an earlier loss to #6 Kirkwood (the two had played in Cedar Rapids a few weeks ago), and followed that up with a sweep of Vincennes, who was within the D1 top 20 in the previous poll.
