Canton, Ill. - Miya Webb and Paris Wilson tossed in 15 points apiece, Wilson's tying a career-high, as the Illinois Central College women's basketball team (14-7, 4-1) defeated Spoon River (0-15, 0-5) 70-47 in Region 24/MWAC action on Saturday afternoon. Addi Swadinsky added 12 points and Savannah Orgeron added 10 points as ICC had all nine active players score in the win. The Cougars swiped 14 steals as Swadinsky (5), Webb (4), and Wilson (3) led the defensive effort, while Naomi Elliott took a charge. 

In the early going, Webb nailed a pair of three-pointers while Swadinsky had four points, as ICC took a 17-11 lead after the first quarter. The duo kept at it as Webb added four more points and Swadinsky nailed a trey to stretch the Cougar lead to double digits. Wilson had three scores in the paint and Orgeron had a basket to extend the lead to 34-21 at the intermission. 

ICC continued to pull away in the third, as Wilson hit a three-pointer and added two other scores, while Orgeron got free in the paint for six points. Webb added another trey, with Imari McDuffy and Elliott each adding baskets, as the Cougars took a 59-36 lead into the fourth before the teams took an 11-11 draw in the final frame for the aforementioned 23-point Cougar winner. 

It sets up a quality Region 24 matchup next Wednesday in Champaign, as the Cougars battle with longtime rivals and 7th-ranked Parkland.
