East Peoria, IL - It's a critical stretch of time for the 15th-ranked Illinois Central College Volleyball team (22-10, 5-1). Not many region matches remain, and the Cougars are locked in a battle for the second of two spots to host the District Tournament in November. On the docket for Saturday was a home tri-match that featured all-Region 24 opponents, with the Rend Lake Warriors being the opener, and the John Wood Blazers being the nightcap. The Cougars were able to hold on for a four-set win over the Warriors before cruising to a three-set win over the Blazers to keep themselves in the conversation of hosting postseason.
