Belleville, IL - The Illinois Central College Men's Soccer team kicked off its postseason on Saturday afternoon, when Coach Gabe Carreno's squad went back down to Belleville 10 days later to once again battle the Blue Storm from Southwestern Illinois in a Region 24 Tournament Semifinal. It was a defensive battle, with limited scoring opportunities on both sides. Alas, the Blue Storm got one in the first half, and come to find out, it would be all they need, as they would eliminate the Cougars from the postseason with a 1-0 victory. 

The Blue Storm were able to capitalize on a corner kick and find the back of the net for a 1-0 halftime lead. 

In the second half, ICC played well in nearly every element of the game, but were unable to find the back of the net for at least an equalizer and their season would come to an end with the loss. 

The Cougars finish the season (8-4-3) and (3-2-1) in the MWAC Conference.
