East Peoria, Ill. - The Illinois Central College men's basketball team will be hosting the inaugural ICC Boys' Basketball Summer League at Ramsey Gym and the ICC CougarPlex on Tuesday nights this summer beginning June 10. The league runs June 10, 17, 24 and July 1 and will feature eight local teams. A full schedule appears below.
"We've talked about doing a league for several years and are excited to be running it," men's basketball coach Tony Wysinger said. "A big thank you to Coach Kendall Davis who really took charge in making this thought process a reality."
Canton, Dunlap, Manual, Morton, Richwoods, Washington and two teams from Peoria High will participate in the league. Each night will consist of 8 games being played in Ramsey Gym and in the three-court gym in the CougarPlex (both of which are air-conditioned) for a total of 32 games during the four-week span.
"We're looking forward to hosting the teams and providing a great experience for our local teams and players," Wysinger said.
