East Peoria, Ill. - The #16 Illinois Central College volleyball team picked up a pair of sweeps against Rend Lake and Spoon River on Friday at the ICC Triangular at Ramsey Gym. The Cougars defeated Rend Lake 25-13, 25-16, and 25-17 in the opener and then downed Region 24 foe Spoon River 25-11, 25-11, and 25-13.
The wins moved the Cougars' record to 13-5 overall and 4-0 in Region 24.
"We've had several weekend tournaments to start the season, so it was nice to be at home," coach Tracy Heffren said. "We saw some good things today and are continuing to move in the right direction."
Several players had strong statistical outings, including hitters

Ellie Dallas.
The team will play at Rock Valley on Wednesday in Rockford.
