Rockford, Ill. -
Andrea Rudolphi's 14 kills and 12 digs willed the #12 Illinois Central College volleyball team to a 22-25, 17-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-12 reverse sweep over Rock Valley on Wednesday evening in non-Region 24 action.
ICC (14-5) dug itself a hole by dropping the first two sets but rallied from there for the win.
"We started the match slowly which allowed Rock Valley to control the game," coach Tracy Heffren said, "but coming out in the third set, we started playing our game. We're proud of the girls for fighting back and getting the reverse sweep."
Allison de Freese and
Ellie Dallas combined for 44 assists.
Bella Gregory had 5 blocks while
Sadie Siwicke, Rudolphi,
Maggye Smith, and Gregory had a total of 47 digs.
The Cougars will return home for three matches this weekend as they face Southeastern Iowa, Waubonsee, and Jefferson on Friday and Saturday.
