Godfrey, Ill. - Pierrot Mourton's goals lifted the #6 Illinois Central College men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over #11 Lewis & Clark on Saturday in Region 24 action at Eastside Centre. 

Neither team was able to score in the first half. Then, after a long break due to injury, the game restarted with 37 minutes left on the clock. ICC got issued a red card so had to play the remainder of the game with ten men on the field.

LCCC scored first at the 60th minute for a 1-0 advantage. The Cougars countered and got awarded a penalty kick by Pierrot Mourton for a 1-1 tie. Lewis & Clark also got issued a red card, so both teams ended the game with ten men on the field. Mourton then scored his second goal in the 75th minute for the go-ahead score.

Goalkeeper Milo Paci had six saves.

#6 ICC improved to 7-1-1 while #11 Lewis & Clark fell to 6-3-1. The Cougars will face a big test on Wednesday as they host #1 Iowa Western (7-0-3) at Eastside Centre at 1pm.
