East Peoria, IL - The Illinois Central College men's basketball team pulled away to get the win in a close game against Lincoln Land Community College on Saturday, 92-84. The Cougars are now 13-5 overall. 

The game went back and forth throughout the first half. ICC managed to build a 10 point lead, 29-19, with 6 minutes to go before halftime. Lincoln Land came back, cutting the lead to 2, with the Cougars leading 36-34 at the break.

The second half looked similar to the first, with both teams keeping the game close. ICC was able to hold on to the lead by capitalizing off of Lincoln Land misses and turnovers. The Cougars started to pull away toward the end of the game and closed it out with Marlon Herron and Javaughn Robinson hitting 6 of 8 free throws to finalize the win, 92-84. 

The Cougars play next at St. Louis for a non-conference game on January 29, at 7:30 pm.
