Godfrey, IL - Lily Luczkowiak's 29 points and Addy Engel's 19 points led the #8 Illinois Central College women's basketball to a decisive 105-50 victory over Lewis & Clark on Wednesday afternoon in Region 24 action at Riverbend Arena. The duo combined to make 21 of 25 field goals on the afternoon---Luczkowiak went 14-16 while Engel hit 7 of 9 field goals, including three treys, to help the Cougars reach the 20-win mark for the 47th time in the past 50 seasons. 

Maziah Shelton pulled down13 rebounds and had 8 points along with Piper Whiteman (12 points), Hannah West (11 points, 5 assists), Larissa Taylor (8 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks), and A'Meah Lester (6 points, 5 steals, 5 assists, 4 rebounds) who helped fill the stat sheet.

Engel hit two treys in the opening minutes and Luczkowiak scored on a variety of finishes at the rim as the the pair scored 22 of the Cougars 28 first quarter points. West and Kam Heider each nailed treys in the opening frame and West added another trey to start the second to increase the lead. A Shelton put-back and two Lester steals led to Engel scores for a 42-16 lead midway through the period. Luczkowiak tallied eleven points in the quarter while Taylor, Whiteman, and Lester added baskets for a 57-23 lead at intermission.

The Cougars stayed in high gear in the second half. Highlights included layups from Emily Dana (assists Taylor & Shelton), a drive and kick from Shelton for another West trey, Ellie VanMeenen's put-back, and several unselfish offensive possessions by the squad. Whiteman's three-pointer from the left wing (assist Heider) put ICC over the century mark, the fourth time they've done so this season. 

ICC is now 20-3 overall and 7-2 in Region 24 and will travel to #5 Parkland on Wednesday in a 5:30 pm contest.
