"It was a terrific day of basketball," coach Karrie Redeker said.  "Our kids got to play against someone new and try to incorporate some of the things we've been working on while playing team-first basketball. When we weren't playing, our kids kept score and made sandwiches for officials and four-year coaches. Their service and attention to detail helped us run a first-class event."

The jamboree featured teams from three different states (IL, IN, & MI) and also served as a recruiting opportunity as four-year college coaches were in attendance and others watched online. Schools represented were:
Division I:  Bradley, Chicago State (2), SIU-Edwardsville
Division II:  Lewis, McKendree (2), Roosevelt
NAIA: Central Methodist, Crowley's Ridge, Culver Stockton, St. Ambrose (2), St. Francis, St. Mary of the Woods (2)

After games concluded, the players, coaches, families, & friends had the team's annual "Meet & Eat" potluck to kick-off the season.

Special thanks to the ICC baseball team, men's basketball team, and athletics' admin Betsey Vinson for working concessions as well as the ICC custodial staff for gym set-up and clean-up.
