Champaign, IL - The Illinois Central College men's basketball team lost to #11 Parkland College, 77-94, on Wednesday. The Cougars are 14-7 on the season.
Parkland started the game off on a 7-0 run, but ICC would fire back, hitting two 3-pointers, making the score 10-6 at the first media timeout. The Cougars kept it close until after the under 8 timeout when Parkland started to pull away, leading 28-16. Parkland kept their foot on the gas, ahead 43-28 at the under 4 timeout, and went into halftime up 55-33.
ICC came out of the second half outscoring Parkland 9-4 at the first media timeout, down 42-59. The Cougars cut the lead to 65-50 with 11:47 left in the game, but that was as close as they would get. Parkland remained dominant and won 94-77.
The Cougars play next at home against #24 Rend Lake on Saturday at 3. Saturday's game is HOF day and our Sophomores will be recognized.
