Coach Dennie is in his 13th season on the ICC women’s basketball staff, specializing in filming games, film exchange, and program management. A valuable member of the program, Coach Dennie's attention to detail has helped propel the team to six National Tourney appearances---2016 (2nd), 2018 (5th), 2019, 2021 (4th), 2022 (7th), and 2025 (8th)---and a 311-86 overall record since 2013.
Hieronymus also helps organize recruiting booklets and game programs for the annual ICC WBB jamboree and the Cougar Holiday Tournament, sends out newsletter updates to Cougar Nation, and assists with the ICC summer league. Previously, Hieronymus assisted Coach Redeker for six years while she was at Parkland College.
He began his personal basketball career after starring in three sports at Octavia High School (now Ridgeview High School) at Colfax. Hieronymus then earned degrees from Illinois State (1971) and Central Washington University (1994). As a career Naval Aviation Officer from 1972 to 1992, he held many positions, most notably flying numerous missions in P-3s, C-130s and C-118s, and served aboard three aircraft carriers. He also was the Navy recruiter for Officer Programs at five central Illinois universities. Upon retiring from the Navy, he returned to assist with the management of the family farm.
Hieronymus splits his time between living in Normal and West Lafayette, Indiana and has two adult children, Cara and Ryan. He is an avid Cubs’ fan and also has two grandsons, Noah and Marshall.
