6th Season at Illinois Central College

Former Cougar sharpshooter Matt Long is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Illinois Central College women's basketball team and sixth season overall in the Blue & Gold as he was previously an assistant for five years for his mentor, Tony Wysinger.
Long served as the head coach at Kishwaukee College during the 2024-25 season and also coached in the MidPro AAU program for the 15U boys' team.
A multi-sport athlete at Richwoods High School, Long played for ICC from 2014-2017, and then attended UNC-Charlotte to finish his academic career. He earned his bachelor's degree in General Studies, while minoring in psychology, from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022.
Matt resides in Peoria.
