Rockford, Ill. - A couple changes were announced just before first serve for ICC Volleyball (22-10, 9-1) at the Rock Valley Tournament this weekend.
The Cougars will no longer be playing Highland (IL), but that match has now been replaced with College of Lake County, an NJCAA Region 4 program out of Grayslake, Illinois. The Lancers, under first-year head coach Walter Paiz, enter the match at (10-13) on the 2021 season. The ICC - Lake County match remains in the 1:00 p.m. time slot that was originally filled with ICC - Highland.
For Saturday, ICC will now have an early wakeup call, taking on D3 #7-ranked Harper at 9:00am. The Cougars will stay in the Rockford area overnight to allow adequate travel for the early-morning first serve. Their time in Rockford wraps up with the lone match that has gone untouched, either in form of opponent or first serve time, that being a Saturday 1:00 p.m. first serve against the top-ranked team in D3 and tournament hosts, Rock Valley.
