Fairfield, Ill. - Long bus rides can be a challenge at times, but the ICC Volleyball team (8-8) was able to get it done, with a dominant 3-0 sweep at Frontier after a three and a half hour drive.
In fact, it was fairly smooth sailing sweep, with the final scores of the sets only getting within 10 once (25-14, 25-12, 25-17).
The road win ends one streak and extends another. The win at the Bobcats (5-9) snaps a five-game skid the Cougars had been on. However, of the Cougars' eight wins, seven of them (consecutive) have all been via the 3-0 sweep.
Schedule alternating has become a theme of late, as the Cougars will now host a tri-match with the Falcons of Southeastern Illinois and Warriors of Rend Lake on Friday. It's the first of two scheduled tri-matches inside Ramsey Gym, after the first was altered earlier by a team dropping out.
