Gulf Shores, AL.---The ICC softball team is diving right into the 2022 season, playing five games this upcoming weekend in the Sun Chief Classic at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex in Alabama.  The Cougars, who received votes in the pre-season NJCAA Division II poll, have three games Friday and two on Saturday against five teams who already have games under their belts this spring.

Four of ICC's games will be against Division I foes, with the lone DII opponent being Jones College, who was the 2021 National Runner-Up.  The Cougars' schedule appears below with the opponents' record as of today's date.  

Friday, Feb. 18
11:15 am vs. (DI) Coastal Alabama East (2-12) on Field 2
  1:30 pm vs. (DI) Bishop State (4-6) on Field 3
  6:00 pm vs. (DI) John A. Logan (1-3) on Field 3

Saturday, Feb. 19 
  9:00 am vs. (DI) Central Alabama (7-5) on Field 1
11:00 am vs. (DII) #2 Jones (2-2) on Field 1
