Ottumwa, IA - The Illinois Central College softball team finished their fall scrimmage season in solid fashion, combining for 23 hits on Sunday at R. L. Hellyer Softball Field in Iowa. The Cougars belted a total of three home runs and had six doubles in single games against Indian Hills and North Central Missouri.
Freshman
Nivarra Oredina led the team with five RBI on the day, including a three-run homer and double, while
Courtney Campbell had four RBI and a two-run blast.
Hanna Evans led the pitching effort by recording ten strikeouts in her seven innings on the mound against North Central Missouri.
Graci Guenther also had a two-run home run and
Zoe Eeten collected two doubles and two RBI on the afternoon.
Alaina Creamer,
Gracie White, and
Addison Church each had doubles for the Cougars.
Coach Heather Doty's group will now focus their efforts on practicing indoors in the CougarPlex until their competitive season begins in the spring semester.
