Estherville, IA -  The ICC men's basketball team (1-2) concluded their time east at the Iowa Lakes Classic on Saturday afternoon by taking on the Comets of Western Iowa Tech at Laker Gymnasium. The Comets took a late lead and were able to hold off the Cougars for a 69-68 victory. 

ICC led 62-50 with 5:42 remaining, but Western Iowa Tech charged in the game's waning minutes. 

The Cougars had been leading wire to wire, until the Comets made one of two free throws with 4.1 seconds remaining. ICC would inbound the ball to half court, and their attempt at a buzzer-beating victory was blocked away and gave the Comets the one-point victory.
