East Peoria, Ill. - It was the start of a busy weekend for the 16th-ranked ICC Volleyball team (11-7). The Cougars, after having just played Carl Sandburg on Wednesday, had turned it around to play two matches as part of a tri-match at Ramsey Gym on Friday afternoon and evening.

First up, were the Southeastern Iowa Blackhawks. The opener, while perhaps not the cleanest in nature, would still turn out as a 3-1 win, with the Cougars winning the last three sets after Southeastern Iowa took the first.

The nightcap pit ICC against Sauk Valley. It should be noted that the Skyhawks had just gone five sets with Southeastern Iowa in the 'middle match'. That being said, the Cougars jumped on the opportunity and outside of a bit of a turning tide in the third set, effectively cruised to a 3-0 sweep.

MORE ON THE SWEEP
The win for #16 ICC, outside of the now (11-7) overall record, it puts the Cougars on a mini three-match win streak ahead of what's sure to be a hotly contested battle with #15 Hawkeye. The Cougars are now (5-1) in their last six matches, including their time at the Kirkwood Tournament this past weekend.
