East Peoria, Ill. - The Illinois Central College softball team continued their fall ball schedule as they clashed with Region 24 rival Spoon River on Saturday afternoon in a double-header. The Cougars cranked out 17 hits on the day and had several strong individual performances at Thome Field.
Freshman Nivarra Oredina had a big day at the plate, going a combined 3-5 from the plate and blasting a home run in the second game that resulted in three RBI. Fellow freshman Reagan Linder also had three RBI in Game 2.
Hanna Evans had a solid outing on the mound in Game 2 with seven strikeouts.
