East Peoria, Ill. - Kirkwood came to East Peoria to battle with the Illinois Central College softball team on Wednesday afternoon at Thome Field. 

The Cougars cranked out six hits in the opener while Hanna Evans and Marlee Brown combined on the mound to fan eight Eagle hitters.

Game 2 saw ICC record eight hits, including a double by Courtney Campbell while the pitching staff tossed three strikeouts.
