Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Now, the 16th-ranked ICC Volleyball team (7-6) hasn't been within the confines of Ramsey Gym for some time now (10 days to be exact), but it was a quick turnaround on their schedule regardless, as the Cougars began their first of two days at the Kirkwood Tournament on Friday afternoon, just two days after taking the court in Decatur. The Kirkwood Tournament, as typically is the case, features a high-quality field. This September is no exception. ICC would start with #2 Johnson County, who, despite the Cavaliers ultimately winning the match, never truly got away, as all four sets were decided by eight or fewer points. The Cougars were able to salvage a win for the day, taking down Sauk Valley. The Skyhawks did take the opener, but ICC would take the next three sets, yet again by close margins, for the (1-1) finish to the day.
