East Peoria, IL - It was a fun day for basketball inside Ramsey Gym on Saturday afternoon, as the Illinois Central College Men's Basketball program hosted its annual Alumni Day. 

The Cougars staff welcomed back the 1981-1982 team, which was recently announced as a member of the 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame class. Those from the team able to make it on Saturday were recognized. 

Then came the fun and games. There was a tandem two-ball competition, and three-point shooting contest, and a dunk contest. 

The day would conclude with the alumni game, with the former Cougars taking on the current Cougars. 

New Men's Basketball assistant coach Kendall Davis won the three-point shooting challenge. 
Isaiah Payne and Brandon Phillips teamed up to win the two-ball competition. 
Phillips also won the dunk contest. 

The Cougars will now turn the page to the regular season, where they will tip off at the Danville Classic against #21 Kalamazoo Valley on Friday, November 1st. Cougars and, well, Cougars, tip off at 5PM from Mary Miller Gym in Danville. ICC also takes on the Mid Michigan Lakers on Saturday, November 2nd (2PM tip) as part of that Danville Classic.
