Boone, IA - As is seemingly always the case, the invitational at Des Moines Area Community College is not always for the faint of heart - the competition is fierce, and quality matchups loom around every corner. That was no different this weekend for the 12th-ranked Illinois Central College Volleyball team, who made the long trip northwest to The Den for four matches over the course of Friday and Saturday. After defeating Ellsworth in a five-set match in the opener, the Cougars would drop the next three matches to Des Moines Area (2-3), #8 Iowa Central (0-3), and #3 Kirkwood (1-3), with the latter two being rematches from earlier this regular season.
