Cedar Rapids, IA - The eighth-seeded Illinois Central College Volleyball team (31-14) had a tall task in front of them on Thursday evening, taking on the #1-ranked Cowley Tigers (38-0) in the NJCAA National Quarterfinal at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena. The Tigers had not lost since the 2022 Fifth Place Match and have only dropped four sets this fall. The Cougars gave it their best, but were unable to stop a Cowley attack that would hit .342 by match's end, with three players having nine or more kills in a 3-0 win over ICC. The loss, however, doesn't end the season for the Cougars, as they will play Iowa Central on Friday at 11AM in a Consolation/Elimination match.
