St. Louis, MO - The 18th-ranked Illinois Central College Women's Basketball team (7-3) went 15 of 29 (52%) from the three-point arc en route to a 119-33 win over the St. Louis Archers (0-14) on Sunday afternoon at the STLCC Classic. The Cougars took a 23-1 lead in the early going and never looked back.
ICC had six players in double figures, while
Lauren Maas and
Addi Swadinsky each dished out nine assists.
Kamryn Heider (4) and
Kaitlin White (2) combined for six treys in the opening stanza, as ICC took a 32-6 lead after one quarter.
Addy Engel hit for eight points in the second quarter, and
Gracie Heckert hit two three-pointers as ICC took a 66-16 halftime lead.
Madison Jobe got in on the scoring action from long distance, as she nailed two treys in the third as ICC took a 93-23 lead into the fourth, as the Cougars continued to roll. Heckert added seven more points in the fourth to cap her career-high day, one of many for ICC.
