East Peoria, Ill. – Lily Luczkowiak, sophomore forward for the Illinois Central College women's basketball team, was named a 1st Team NJCAA All-American as announced on Wednesday by the NJCAA. It is the second year in a row Luczkowiak earned All-American honors, having also been named to the 3rd Team as a freshman.
"This is a tremendous honor for Lily and our team," coach Karrie Redeker said. "She had a phenomenal sophomore season and helped us win a lot of games in a variety of ways. Her basketball skills, consistency, work ethic, and attitude were outstanding, but what really makes her special is the kind of teammate and person she is on an everyday basis. She'll be the first to acknowledge that this award is a direct reflection of our overall team's success as well."
On the season, Luczkowiak averaged 15.9 ppg and 5.2 rpg while shooting a team-best 57.9% from the field, which ranked 8th overall in the NJCAA. She earned several accolades, being named to the All-Tournament Team at Nationals, an All-Region 24 and 1st Team All-MWAC selection, made the Cougar Holiday Tournament All-Tourney Team, and garnered NJCAA Player of the Week honors on November 19.
She finished with 1,050 career points at ICC.
Luczkowiak is the 46th All-American in the storied ICC women's basketball program (which began in 1969) and is just the seventh player ever to be named a two-time All-American, joining Destiny Ramsey (2014-16), Chanta Wright (2012-14), Petra Manakova (2001-03), Marlena Williams (1997-99), Tracy Atwater (1989-91), and Karen Erschen (1977-79).
The Cougars had a banner season in 2025-26, finishing in 4th place at the NJCAA DII National Tournament, were Region 24 Tournament Champions, captured a share of the Mid-West Athletic Conference regular season title, won both the Cougar Holiday Tournament and Thumbcoast Classic, and posted a 32-5 overall record.
