East Peoria, Ill. - Some slight adjustments had the Illinois Central College baseball team (3-3) battling the Glen Oaks Vikings (1-6) in a series finale at Thome Field on Thursday afternoon. The game started as a bit of a slow burn, but a late charge from the Cougar bats sparked a 15-5 win in eight innings of play. 

ICC COUGARS 15, GLEN OAKS VIKINGS 5 (8 INN.)
Glen Oaks started the game well, leading 5-2 after four innings, but ICC would pour it on with a 13-0 run the rest of the game. Just like the supposed theme of the series - small ball. Over that 13-run charge, six hits were extra base hits, but the rest were singles, walks, or batters hit by a pitch. A solo home run from Luke Doty was perhaps icing on the cake, as ICC took the 10-run victory.
