Micah McCoy, a freshman third baseman for the Illinois Central College baseball team, was named a 2nd Team NJCAA All-American as announced Wednesday.
On the season, McCoy had a .424 batting average with 20 home runs and 89 RBI. He had 22 doubles and an .837 slugging percentage while helping lead the Cougars to the Region 24-C Championship, their second in the past three years.
McCoy also earned All-Region 24 honors, 1st Team All-MWAC, and was named the M-WAC Freshman of the Year.
He is the third member of his family to earn NJCAA All-American honors, along with brother Mason and sister Madi.
Micah is a graduate of Washington High School and is the son of Josh & Misti McCoy.
