Danville, Ill. - After an exciting two-game sweep yesterday between the Illinois Central College baseball team (6-13, 2-2) and Danville Area, the two teams went right back to work, as the Cougars made the trek eastward to Danville Stadium to play the third and fourth games of the series with the Jaguars. There was no shortage of offense, with the teams combining to score 43 runs over the course of the doubleheader, as ICC dropped both games by margins of one run and eight runs, ending the series in a 2-2 draw.

ICC's bats were held pat in the second and Danville Area countered to go up 3-2. The see-saw continued with an RBI double from

GAME 2 | DANVILLE AREA 18, ICC COUGARS 10
Buckle up for game two. 24 hours after game two in East Peoria combined for 25 runs, game two in Danville somehow surpassed that mark. The Cougars unfurled for six runs in the top of the first, powered by
Luke Doty scoring on a wild pitch, an RBI walk from
Jacob Castleman,
Bryce Bishop scoring on an error, and a bases-clearing three-run triple from
Nick Piazza.
Not to be outdone it seemed, the Jaguars got an RBI double, two-run double, RBI single, three-run double, and RBI double to go from down 6-0 to ahead 8-6. The ICC offense found a way to get back into it, with an RBI double from Piazza and two-run double from
Noah Campbell to retake the lead, now at 9-8. Danville would answer right back with a sac fly and an RBI single to make it 10-9 Jaguars. The Cougars tied it up at 10-10 in the fourth when
Griffin Roesch scored Castleman on a sac fly.
The offense would sputter, however, with Danville Area outscoring ICC 8-0 the rest of the way, a run that included a three-run home run.
