East Peoria, IL - The #3 Illinois Central College women's basektball team rolled to a 120-42 win over Lake Michigan on Saturday afternoon at Ramsey Gym. The game was one of the highest scoring affairs in recent memory, and had solid all-around efforts from the team.
ICC held a 37-14 advantage after the first quarter and stayed on track to post a 62-22 halftime lead.
Maziah Shelton (17 pts, 12 reb) and
Larissa Taylor (16 pts, 10 reb) each posted double-doubles while
A'Meah Lester (7 asts) and
Kam Heider (5 asts) spearheaded the passing game as ICC had a total of 26 assists. The Cougars doubled up LMC in the rebounding department (52-26) and won bench scoring 53-12.
The Cougars are now 7-1 overall and will play next in an exhibition game on Tuesday, December 2 at Augustana JV in Rock Island at 6:30 pm.
