Peoria, IL - The Illinois Central College Softball team (4-7) made the short drive across the Illinois River to the dome of the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex to play a doubleheader against the eighth-ranked Golden Eagles from Rock Valley (3-3) on Thursday afternoon. The Golden Eagles brought the bats in the opener in a 10-1 run-rule victory, before the Cougars out-dueled them in the finale, a slugfest with a 13-10 final score.
