East Peoria, Ill. - The #8 Illinois Central College volleyball team earned their first home victory on Thursday night, defeating #25 Carl Sandburg 25-17, 25-19, 26-28, and 25-22 in Ramsey Gym. The Cougars (3-2) showed off multiple weapons to the home crowd as several players had strong statistical efforts, led by
Andrea Rudolphi (16 kills), Allison de Freese (24 assists), Bell Gregory (5 blocks), and
Whitney Rumbold (19 digs, 6 aces).
"This was a quality win over a good Carl Sandburg team," head coach Tracy Heffren said. "We're learning to play together and this was a positive step in the right direction."
