Ottumwa, IA - The Illinois Central College women's soccer team battled with #10 Iowa Western for over a half on Friday, but eventually fell 4-0 to the Reivers on Friday evening at the Indian Hills CC Classic.
The teams played to a scoreless first half but then IWCC scored in the 49th minute and followed up with another goal a few minutes later for a 2-0 lead. IWCC (4-0) added two more late scores for the final margin.
Goalkeeper
Gracie VanQuakebeke had 11 saves.
"We made some mistakes that cost us," coach Javi Valle said. "But we're still very proud of the effort the girls showed, especially in the first half. I think we'll be just fine once we get a full roster back."
