Ottumwa, IA - The Illinois Central College women's soccer team lost 1-0 to Western Wyoming at the Indian Hills CC Classic on Saturday. The Cougars, who had only eleven healthy players dressed for the contest, put up a good fight despite the limited numbers.
"Western's goal came off a mistake unfortunately," coach Javi Valle said, "but we're proud of the girls getting through the weekend the way we did. We played with eleven today (no subs) so it wasn't easy. The positives were that we competed with quality teams even without some of our key players and we got back home without losing anyone to injury. We'll get back three players before we open region play on Saturday at Wabah so I know we'll be just fine."
