Metamora, Ill. - Illinois Central College men's golfers
Trey Boecker and
Connor Watson both finished in the Top 10 at the Cougar Fall Classic, hosted by ICC on Monday and Tuesday at Metamora Fields. Boecker tied for 4th overall, while Watson tied for 8th out of 103 players.
ICC finished 4th as a team out of a total of 17 teams.
"The Cougars did not play well Monday and had a big hill to climb on Tuesday," coach Sean Kennedy said. "I challenged this squad Monday night to find some Cougar competitive spirit and was happy to see sophomores
Drake Kaufman and
Brooks Cluver respond, which helped us climb the Leaderboard. Freshmen
Alex Kuykendall posted a collegiate career best 74 on Tuesday, while brother Andrew contributed a 76. Trey and Connor played well again as they finished individually in the Top 10."
NJCAA rankings will not come out for fall golf until Sept 30th.
