Galesburg, IL - The Illinois Central College baseball team fell short in a high-scoring game against Carl Sandburg College, 12-14, on Thursday. The Cougars are 4-12 on the season.
The game stayed close, with ICC's largest lead coming at the end of the 5th inning, 5-3. It was a high-scoring 6th and 7th innings, with ICC trailing by 1 after 6, 6-7, and leading by 1 after 7, 11-10. Carl Sandburg outscored ICC 4-1 in the 8th inning and the Cougars would not be able to come back in the 9th, ending the game 12-14.
ICC faces John Wood in a doubleheader at home on Friday, March 13 at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
