BSB Splits High-Scoring Doubleheader vs. Parkland

Champaign, IL - The Illinois Central College baseball team split a high-scoring doubleheader against Parkland College on Sunday, losing game one, 2-10, and winning game two, 20-8. The Cougars are now 20-30 overall and 19-9 in conference play. 

ICC started game one up 1-0 by the top of the 3rd inning, but after a 5 run bottom of the 3rd, Parkland took over and never looked back. Aidan Fulton had two singles in the 2-10 loss. 

ICC went on an offensive tear in game two, scoring 20 runs while allowing 8 from Parkland. Micah McCoy registered 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple, and 4 RBIs in the win. Braden Vanderheydt got the win on the mound, giving up 5 hits, 1 earned run, and a strikeout across 5 innings. 

ICC will play next at home against Carl Sandburg on Wednesday, April 29, at 6:00 pm.
