East Moline, Ill. - The #12 ranked Illinois Central College men's golf team brought home a 2nd place finish at the weather-shortened Black Hawk Spring Invitational, losing by five strokes to the host Braves in the 13-team invite at Short Hills Country Club.
Individually, Cougar teammates
Trey Boecker and
Connor Watson both fired even-par rounds of 72 to tie for Individual Runner-Up.
Quote from coach Sean Kennedy
"We just made too many mistakes early to beat a good Black Hawk squad but Trey and Connor did an excellent job battling the wind to finish in a tie for second. The team will enjoy an Easter break with their families and then we'll get ready for a rematch with Dubuque and Heartland next week at The Rail in Springfield."
